Judge – Mrs Chelsea Hickling

I would like to take the opportunity to sincerely thank every single exhibitor that came to support me as well as the clubs committee whom made my day so enjoyable. It was a great honour to be asked to judge the May open show and I was thrilled to be so well supported.

Veteran Dog/Bitch

  • Parson’s Ottia Lady Gaga, 8 yr old bitch in super condition. Feminine with a balanced outline. Blunt wedge head with correct planes. Nice length of neck leading into straight firm topline, and a correct tailset. Front legs straight and parallel with strong rear quarters to match.  Moved with vigour and was a real pleasure to see her in the ring. Worthy of Best Veteran in show.
  • Wall & Boulton’s Jarjarjinx True Grit, 8 yr old black/tan male. A touch heavy on the day but this did not affect his outline. Head in proportion to body, with dark eyes of almond shape and neat ears. A male with plenty of bone, well developed forechest, ribs deep and well sprung.

Minor Puppy Dog

  • Groves’ Lateagain Rocky, 9 month black/tan male, currently quite immature which is most apparent on the move however I’m sure this will change as he develops. Clean and balanced outline, well put together but would like more of him overall.

Puppy Dog  No entries

Junior Dog

  • Hutchinson’s Supeta’s Spells Magic for Debison, black/tan male strong head with correct planes, darkest of eyes, neat ears and nice depth of muzzle. Plenty of bone, stood on tight feet, parallel straight legs front and rear. Straight firm topline ending in a correct tailset. Moved with fluidity and drive.

Graduate Dog  1 (1 Abs)

Post Graduate Dog

  • Dickinson’s Amazon Notorious Mr Big, 3yr old black/tan male, well matured. Level head planes, neat well set ears, Dark eye but would prefer tighter eyes giving more of an almond shape. Nice length of neck. Hindquarters well muscled. Handled well.
  • Mycroft & Brown’s Supeta’s Backstabber, Strong head, dark almond shaped eyes with alert expression, good depth of muzzle and correct dentition.  Dark tan and shown in hard condition.  Well off for bone.

Limit Dog

  • Lafford & Groves’s Lateagain Satisfaction, standard height male. Compact and square outline, balanced throughout. Legs straight and parallel. Almond shaped eyes and dark in colour, correct ear set, flat skull. Good length of neck leading into straight topline, clean over the withers and a correct tailset to end.  Enough spring of rib.  The best mover of the class.
  • Layton’s Ottia Uptown Funk at Kaistart, taller than one but still balanced. Strong male shown in fit condition. Deep chest, brisket reaching the elbow. Stood on straight strong limbs, moved well.

Open Dog

  • Snell, Jones, Mycroft’s Supeta’s Pandemonium at Korifey, masculine mature 3yr impressive male. Strong head with dark eye, neat ears, correct head planes with enough stop.  Well developed forechest, ribs deep and well sprung, elbows lying close to brisket.  Well muscled with a short and close lying coat.  Powered around the ring purposefully.   Pleased to award him  Best in Show
  • Piper’s Swnydwr Double Take, Standard male square, compact and balanced. Clean head, tight lips, dark almond shaped eyes, flat skull.  Would like him to be cleaner over the withers but hard to fault this boy.  Enough chest reaching the elbow with well sprung ribs.  Legs straight and parallel. Strong hindquarters with a well bent stifle. Moved with fluidity and the correct action just not with the purpose of 1. Res Best Dog

Minor Puppy Bitch

  • Brannan’s Supeta’s Whole lotta Rosie with Sharhyste. Quality youngster, portraying a very clean tidy outline.  Long slightly curved neck, clean over the withers, straight topline, well filled croup, correct tailset.  Legs straight and parallel. Dark coat colour. Shown a little light today.
  • Hutchinson’s Supeta’s Girls got Rhythm for debison. Litter sister to 1, and another quality puppy.  Less mature but where she should be at this age.  Unlucky to be in the same class as there is a lot to like about her.  Feminine head, good planes, square and compact outline all in proportion.  Needs to settle into her movement but I’m sure this will come with a little practice

Puppy Bitch

  • Jones’s Cara Iz Zoosfery for korifey, Ultra elegant bitch, clean and balanced outline. Head planes correct with neat well set ears.  Tight lips, correct bite.  Legs straight and parallel both front and rear.  Firm straight topline leading to a correct tailset.  Won the class on her movement but would like more of her overall.  Shown to her advantage, well presented.
  • Supeta’s Girl got rhythm for debison

Junior Bitch

  • Brock’s Supeta’s Wild at Heart with Truvel 15 month old black/tan impressive bitch really stood out for me. Square and compact, powerful in stature, stood on tight feet.  Well off for bone, ribs deep and well sprung.  Deep chest with elbows lying close to brisket.  Strong head, dark almond shaped eye, deep muzzle, correct scissor bite, plenty of fill under the eyes, parallel planes.  Correct markings in a dark rich tan, short close lying coat of good quality.  Moved well with purpose and drive.  Pleased to be able to award her Best bitch.
  • Mycroft’s Supeta’s Put a spell on you, confident 13 month old with some very similar qualities to 1, just preferred the movement on 1. Medium sized standard bitch with plenty about her. Strong blunt wedge head with correct planes, dark almond shaped eyes, good proportions with a nice depth to her muzzle.  Dark tan and tight feet.

Graduate Bitch

  • Wall’s Jarjarjinx Tutti Frutti, square feminine standard bitch. Head proportional to body, long curved neck, clean over the withers.  Firm topline with correct length of loin. Enough forechest.  Good rear angulation.
  • Sutton’s Shalissa’s Witchywoowoo, Brown/tan standard height bitch, blunt wedge shaped head, head proportional to body, deep chest with elbows tucked well into brisket. Straight slightly sloping topline. Plenty of second thigh. Coat quality could be better.

Post Graduate Bitch

  • Mycroft’s Sant Kreal Jewel for Supeta JW strong substantial bitch square and compare and of standard size. Best mover in the class with a correct rotatory action in the rear.  Good angulation front and rear.  Dark tan and correct markings.  Correct head planes, dark eyes, Scissor bite.  Plenty of forechest and ribs well sprung.
  • Fisher’s Jojavik Modesty Blaise, Quality bitch with a lot to like about her. Feminine with a clean, elegant outline. Needed to slow down on the move in order to get the best from her. Straight and parallel legs front and rear.  Clean head with correct dentition, dark almond shaped eye, flat skull, tight lips.  Would like a little more of her overall but she is correct and balanced.

Limit Bitch

  • Cattermole’s Supeta’s Phoenix for Kalvadene JW Shcm, head and body proportional, long lean neck, clean over the withers, straight slightly sloping topline leading into a well filled croup and correct tailset. Topline remained firm on the move, gait was balanced and elastic with good reach in the front and enough drive in the rear. Front angulation good, same at the rear with strong parallel hocks, thighs well muscled.
  • Flower’s get to the Point Pandora of Chopitea, taller than 1 but still square. Head planes correct with enough stop, dark almond eye, neat ears, flat skull.  Neck long and elegant, Straight slightly sloping topline, correct tailset.  Enough forechest, brisket reaching the elbow. Straight and parallel legs front and rear. Would like her to be tighter in front.

Open Bitch

  • Jones’s Ch Korifey Treasure JW Shcm, a beautifully presented bitch who is definitely handled to her advantage. This was another dog who won the class on movement, fluid, free and balanced.  Plenty of bone giving her enough substances, tight feet, well developed forechest and ribs deep and well sprung reaching the elbow.  Legs straight and parallel, well muscled hindquarters.  Nice length of neck leading into a firm straight slightly sloping topline. A touch too much length in body for me.
  • Wall’s Amazon Infiniti to Jarjarjinx, a square and compact bitch, broad enough with plenty of her. A blunt wedge shaped head with dark almond eyes, neat high set ears, flat skull, correct denition, and plenty of fill under the eye. Markings correct and with a dark tan.   Just didn’t move quite as well as 1.
