South West Dobermann Club Open Show-Special Award Classe June 2026 Critic
I would first like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge their special award classes at their show this year. It was a pleasure to see so many quality dogs, and I commend competitors for their hard work and time put in to keeping their dogs in such good condition.
Class A – Special Award Puppy Dog or Bitch (2/2)
1st ) 18 – Kelly & Mycroft, Mrs J & Mrs S M Supeta’s Daredevil (D)
9 month old male, solid dog with a lovely, strong head and good earset, correct dentition. Good topline and tight front and rear, good depth of chest, tailset ok. Movement ok, I’m sure as he grows he will settle more into his stride.
2nd ) 1 – Billington, Mrs T Shalissa’s Louis Vuitton Avec Aquepins (D)
8 month old male, another solid puppy, with good head and earset, correct dentition. Topline ok, tailset good. Lovely, elegant neck. Good front, rear ok. Movement ok, a little unsettled.
Class B – Special Award Post Graduate Dog or Bitch (1/2)
1st) 27 – Robinson, Miss R E Korifey Matchy Matchy (B)
21 month old bitch with a beautiful head and earset, correct dentition. Elegant neck flowing into strong topline, with good tailset. Good front and rear. Fantastic depth of chest. Movement very good. Quality bitch.
Class C – Special Award Open Dog or Bitch (3/3)
1st) 29 – Trego, Miss J Lux Ch Amazon Breathless (B)
2 year old bitch, well boned bitch, beautiful head and earset. Correct dentition. Good neck, flowing into a strong topline and tail set. Good front, rear ok. Fantastic depth of chest. Movement good. Another quality bitch, who I was pleasantly surprised I had given a 1st to as a puppy.
2nd) 5 – Caldicott, Mrs S Aritaur Cirilla with Philmont JW (B)
Another lovely bitch, 3 year old with good head and ears, correct dentition. Elegant neck, and fantastic depth of chest. Good topline and tailset. Movement ok. Personally, would prefer a bit more bone.
3rd) 2 – Bradbury & Sanderson, Mrs C & Ms J Jodaseen Steel City Blues (B)
