The South West Dobermann Club held an open show where:

All homebred
With an entry of 47 I was fortunate to get some very decent Dobes. Both open classes gave a particular buzz with the quality dogs & bitches on parade. It is fair to say that presentation throughout was excellent with no bad temperament .
V (2) 1 Groves’ Graceful But Grumpy. homebred bl/r rising 9 years, anything but grumpy. good dark eye, kind expression, clean head. good overall make & shape, muscle tone & body condition belle age, good rear construction allowing good movement, sound.
JD (2) 1 Morgan’a Erbil Hell Has No Fury, br/r, 5 days out of puppy, appealing head. dar1< eye & expression, good skull, neck muscles well developed. legs well boned & straight, good pastern, tight feet, good topline, very good thigh muscle. nice temperament, sound mover;
2 Knlght’s Gylemulr Midnight Maestro, 13 months blr, not as advanced as 1, pleasing head, kind eye, good outline. not as positive on move.
ND(1) 1 Awcock & Parker’a V1emar Zephxros, 21 months b/r, good skull topped by good ears, doleful expression. happy temperament, well developed thigh muscle. excellent feet, sound mover.
OD(3) 1 E Hell Has No Fury;
2 Stawart & Smith’s Ebrlll H”man, b1r, Just over the year. plenty of development to come, very alert. kind eye & expression. lovely temperament, well muscled thigh, good hocks. Not so sound on move as 1 tended to pace.
POD (2) 1 Webb’s Monarkle Mad Bad Jack at Shallissa, by same dog as BIS. big bold br/r boy. very alert, appealing head.’ pleasing eye & expression, good front, shoulder, topline & stifle, Tended to pace but handler quick to correct, Impressed more coming to than going away, good temperament, sound;
2 Wall & 80lton’s Jarjarjinx True Grit, 21 months homebred blr, efso by same sire. Good skull. sweet dark eye, good shoulder, good outline. Moved well but tended to ‘swlng’in front where needs to tighten up. Good temperament. sound.
LD (4) 1 Brown’s Nawfords Fame Monster, blr, very appealing for overall make & shape, pleasing head, good skull, stop & muzzle, dark eye emitting sweet but masculine expression. good shoulder, very good legs, excellent feet, good topline, strong thigh muscles. well handled sound mover. good temperament;
2 Caftell & Kavanagh’s Doberway Chito A Chaffa, homebred b/r of good overall appeal, lovely outline,’ make & shape, balanced head, sweet but masculine expression, good neck & front conformation, very sound mover, good side extension;
3 Gallagher’s lzralight Zorro.
OD (7) 1 Wilkes’ Ch lynfryds Scaramouche. homebred b/r from ch parents. probably at his best, all you would want, nothing exaggerated yet superb overall make & shape, totally balanced as was his head. clean to handle, good skull topped by very good ears, most appealing dark masculine eye & expression, strong deep muzzle, good underjaw, strong muscular neck failing Into good shoulder. good upper arm, strong pastarns. excellent feet, 900d depth of chest, strong In loin, level topllne kept on move, very good rear construction, well muscled thighs, well let down of hock allowing excellent drive from rear, very easy mover with good side extension, lovely temperament, sound as a pound. 2 JamBS & Goscomb’s Jaegerson Man In The Mirror, homebred blr, also from oh parents, similar make & shape, again most delightful head to handle. dark masculine expressive eye, strong neck, good shoulder & front construction, strong well boned legs, excellent feet, In good body. depth of chest, good topline, well built at rear, well muscled thighs. lovely temperament, solid on the move, good side extension, very sound. 3 Jones’ Ch Amazon Russian Ice.
MPB (2) 1 Green’s Ruzuna Superior Duchess,. homebred 7 months babe. most feminine bitch, full of promise, lovely clean head to handle, balanced flat skull, good stop & strong muzzle, beautiful dar1< almond shaped eye, tantalising expression. In very good body. strong straight Iegs, tight feet. thighs well muscled, moves out with purpose, good side extension. sound as a pound, lovely outgoing temperament. she’s good & knows it BP
2 Jeanes’ Viemar Kissimmee. homebred blr, 8 months, most appealing. good overall make & shape, pleasing head. eye & expression. lovely temperament, good front, moved soundly.
PB (2) , Gallagher’s Izrallght Sugababe, blr, most feminine & advanced 11 months bitch, plesslng head, sweet dark eye & expression, super temperament, good overall make& shape, good neck, shoulder, level topllne. good stifle, well muscled thigh, good let down of hock, easy mover. good side extension;
2 Wright’s Amazon Faberge with Sealandair, well bred blr of 10 months, most attractive, nice clean heed to go over. good dark £ ‘e, docile expression, lovely temperament, good overall make & shape, very sound, moved well.
JB (5) 1 Nlcotl-Jones & Grlffin’s Supeta’s Jessle J Into Kyrlcln, super feminine bitch of 16 months, b1r who topped this good class by her overall make & shape, showmanship & ring presence, appealing head, flat skUll, good strong muzzle, most gorgeous almond shaped eye & expression, sound, friendly & confident, lovely free mover,
2 Wilkes’ Gylemuir Midnight Magic for Lynfryds, another lovely b/r girl who ran 1 close, lovely balanced head, beautiful dark eye & expression, strong well muscled neck Into good shoulder, good strong legs & pastern, excellent feat, level topline. good rear, thighs well muscled, lovely temperament. sound, moved with purpose;

Beautifully turned out & handled, trained to win – & win she did, has that charismatic charm necessary In strong competition, born showgirl, head a pleasure to go over, flat skull topped by excellent ears. good stop, strong muzzle, beautiful dark eye & expression, good neck & shoulder, very good front construction, well boned straight legs, strong pastern, good tight feet, body well covered, good depth of chest, level topline kept on the move, strong rear construction with well muscled thigh & let down of hock allowing great thrust from rear, lovely outgoing temperament. very sound, movement a delight to watch. 1 Jones’ Ch Amazon Russian Romance, just loved her, b1r bred In the purple & clearly inherited her parents’ qualities, ultra feminine, cleanest of heads, flat skull topped by excellent ears. good stop. strong muzzle, good underjaw. most beautiful eye & expression, lovely temperament, well muscled neck into very good shoulder, good depth of chest, very good overall make & shape, strong well boned legs, excellent feet, level topline. strong In rear construction, excellent thigh muscle, good stifle & let down of hock enabling required drive from rear to move with such grace & animation, sound as a bell, well handled, held her own throughout RBB;
2 lalnchbury’s Ashlan KazavRI, homebred blr bred In the purple & like 1, inherited those parental qualities, another most feminine bitch who knows how to move, most pleasing head, good dark eye & expression, most attentive, stands her ground well, strong boned & muscled legs, strong pastern. tight feet, well made at rear enabling a reel good thrust forward without expending energy, well trained, sound, lovely mover;
