Dog Judge – Rosie Lane

VD

1 Thorn’s Be, NL Ch Grafmax Louis Armstrong.Over 8 years old, in excellent condition. Alert expression, well-placed, clean shoulders flowing into hard topline, good tailset, well-proportioned throughout. Moved out with good reach and drive, which won him the class.

2 Robertson’s Cockneyoka Josey Wales. Also over 8 and well-conditioned. Very good head of good shape and proportions, wellbodied
throughout but not quite the movement of 1.

MPD

1 Richardson’s Jasprico French Rebellion. Most pleasing quality 6 month-old, excellent type and carrying correct weight. Calm outlook, correct head type, clean wedge of good length & depth of muzzle, dark almond eye, sound front, good bone and feet, gradual slope to underline, topline and tailset correct.
To nitpick, he doesn’t need any more rear angulation. Very steady mover. I suspect this is a future star.

2 Partridge’s Dobehaven Trailblazer. Another good exhibit but carrying a little too much weight and longer in croup than 1. Super front and feet, good length of head with dark eye. Not as clean in shoulder as 1 and movement a little erratic.

3 Warren’s Shalissa Black Magic.

PD

1 Mycroft’s Supeta’s Backstabber. Exuberant, upstanding 11-month-old in hard condition possessing desired square outline, one of the few short-coupled exhibits here today. Super wedge head of good proportions, dark eye, good earset. Correctly slightly sloping topline to strong quarters and well-set tail.
Covered the ground well with strong rotary action. BPD.

2 D Trailblazer.

3 S Black Magic.

JD

1 Lafford & Groves’ Lateagain Satisfaction. Eye-catching square exhibit of ideal size, so well-balanced with excellent headpiece on strong arched neck, clean shoulders leading to hard topline, short-coupled, strong quarters, correct rear angulation. Good rhythmic movement. Needs to tighten in front but only 13
months old. RCC.

2 Santoriello’s Korifey Amulet. Tall brown just out of puppy. Alert expression, good length of head, enough reach of neck, shoulders could be cleaner, firm topline but too long in loin. Wellset tail and strong quarters, steady mover.

3 Plummer’s Grafmax Alfie Boe.

YD

1 L Satisfaction.

2 Snell, Jones & Mycroft’s Supeta Pandemonium at Korifey. Quality exhibit, close up to 1 but preferred overall balance of winner. Good length of head, dark eye of good shape, enough reach of neck, well angulated rear with strong quarters and good tailset. Moved with purpose.

3 Bishop’s Repertoire Simply Red.

GD

1 L Satisfaction.

2 D Trailblazer.

3 G Alfie Boe.

PGD

1 Hickling’s Stormin Norman. Tall brown of pleasing disposition. Head of good length, dark eye, good reach of neck. Not appearing balanced and would prefer more strength of thigh.

LD

1 Most difficult decision of the day between 1 Morgan’s Newford’s Moves Like Jagger at Calonmac and 2 Quigley, Day & Piper’s Swnydwr Double Take. I loved them both and it was not easy to balance out their faults and virtues. Both possess the square, balanced outlines as required by the Standard, neither is
overdone or over-sized, excellent body proportions, ample bone. Good spring of rib, short couplings, strong quarters and good tailsets. I finally made 1 the winner owing to his cleaner flow of neck into
shoulders, more animation and stunning elastic, rhythmic side gait. Unfortunately he missed out on the RCC through carrying too much weight.

3 Reid’s Nerak American Idol.

OD

1 Moore, McPhee & Jones’ Ch Korifey Onyx. All-quality, elegant exhibit in superb hard condition, not overdone in any way. Well-muscled and standing four-square on his sound front and tight feet. Pleasing head on strong arched neck., well-placed clean shoulders set correctly on upper arm of good
length. Deep chest, well-ribbed back to short loin, gradually sloping underline. Strong quarters with length of thigh proportionate to second thigh and well let down hocks. His sound, rhythmic movement with good reach and drive completed the picture of an outstanding male. CC & BOB.

2 Reid’s Ch Korifey Brave. Another good one with square outline and not overdone. Expressive head with dark eye, good feet, nice underline, quarters and tailset. Not the movement of 1.

3 King’s Ch Nerak American Dream.
